Meet The Award Winners...

The five of us are lucky enough to have been awarded 7,050 pounds to put on this years events. We worked very hard and our work paid off. We think we put on a bloody good event and look forward to being able to do the same next year... Donations can be sent to us towards next years event contact us by e-mail for further details. moriarthechosen@hotmail.com

These five guys are responsible for Battle of the Bands. They managed to get a grant from the MILLENNIUM AWARDS COMMISSION of 7,050 pounds and 500 pounds from Morley Town Council. They have attended meetings on a weekly basis and have had to plan every aspect of the event.

The aim of the event is to promote the brilliant musical talent available here in Morley and to show the world that young music fans are being overlooked and neglected. There are many clubs out there for sporty types, there are clubs for learning like archealogy, science and chess but nothing for us. Until now....and HOPEFULLY we can continue this on an annual basis.

These five guys had a big idea and instead of sitting on their laurels they got off their butts and made things happen...I am very pleased to have been involved with the project, the young people involved and you have learnt me a lot.. Here's to next year. Thanks, Jane Arnott [Morley Town Council].
